Abstract
The article presents results on the effectiveness of psychotherapeutic interventions in the treatment of schizophrenia that represent empirically verified research approach so-called on an Evidence-Based Psychotherapy (EBP). The current state of knowledge based on the results of randomized controlled trials (RCT) and meta-analyses concerning cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy in schizophrenia therapy is discussed. The article shows that the cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy (CBT) is the effective psychological intervention in the treatment of psychosis. However, the latest analyses of therapeutic effects clearly show that this psychotherapeutic intervention can also lead to negative therapeutic results such as drop-out form the treatment and deterioration effects for patients.References
