The Scholarship of Research (SOR) is a fully open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal. All published articles are made freely, immediately, and permanently available online without subscription barriers, registration requirements, or embargo periods.

Readers may access, download, copy, share, distribute, print, search, link to, adapt, translate, and otherwise reuse published content in accordance with the applicable Creative Commons licence.

Publication and Access Fees

The Scholarship of Research operates as a diamond open-access journal and does not charge fees to authors or readers.

The Journal does not charge:

• article processing charges (APCs);
• submission fees;
• publication fees;
• page or article-length charges;
• colour figure charges;
• supplementary material fees;
• subscription or pay-per-view charges.

Editorial decisions are based exclusively on scholarly quality, methodological or conceptual rigor, originality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the Journal's aims and scope, and are entirely independent of financial considerations.

Copyright and Publication Rights

Authors retain copyright in their work and do not transfer copyright to the Journal or Publisher.

Upon publication, authors grant iEditore a non-exclusive right of first publication and a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, communicate, preserve, archive, and make the article available as part of The Scholarship of Research.

Authors may share, deposit, reproduce, distribute, adapt, translate, and otherwise reuse their own work without requesting permission from the Journal or Publisher, subject only to any rights, permissions, confidentiality obligations, ethical requirements, or other restrictions applying to third-party material included in the article.

The Creative Commons licence applied to the published article governs reuse by readers and other third parties. It does not restrict the authors' exercise of the copyright they retain in their own original work.

Authors retain their moral rights to the extent recognised by applicable law, including the right to be identified as the authors of the work and to object to uses that unlawfully misrepresent their contribution.

Creative Commons Licence

Unless otherwise clearly indicated, articles published by The Scholarship of Research are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0).

This licence permits readers and other third parties to copy, share, distribute, reproduce, adapt, remix, transform, translate, and reuse the published article in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, provided that:

• appropriate credit is given to the authors and the original publication;
• the complete citation and DOI are provided where reasonably possible;
• a link to the CC BY 4.0 licence is provided;
• any modifications, adaptations, translations, or other changes are clearly indicated.

Reuse must not imply endorsement by the authors, Editors, Journal, or Publisher.

Self-Archiving

Authors may deposit and share the submitted manuscript, accepted manuscript, and published Version of Record in institutional repositories, subject repositories, general-purpose repositories, personal academic webpages, and other non-exclusive scholarly platforms without embargo.

Deposited versions should be clearly identified. When depositing or sharing the published Version of Record, authors are encouraged to include the complete citation, DOI, direct link to the Journal webpage, and applicable CC BY 4.0 licence statement.

Self-archiving is permitted immediately and does not require prior permission from the Journal or Publisher.

Third-Party Material

The Creative Commons licence applies only to material for which the authors or Publisher are legally entitled to grant that licence.

Figures, tables, photographs, instruments, questionnaires, scales, datasets, software components, code, conceptual models, and other third-party material may be subject to separate copyright, licensing, consent, privacy, contractual, or intellectual-property restrictions.

Where material is excluded from the article's Creative Commons licence, this must be clearly indicated in the relevant credit line, figure legend, table note, or accompanying statement.

Authors are responsible for identifying third-party rights and obtaining any permission required to reproduce, distribute, adapt, or otherwise use protected material before publication.

Research Data, Code, and Software

The CC BY 4.0 licence applied to the article does not automatically determine the legal status or licence of associated research data, source code, software, algorithms, databases, or other research objects.

Authors should clearly identify the licence or access conditions applicable to datasets, code, software, protocols, analytical workflows, and supplementary research materials deposited in external repositories.

Where possible, SOR encourages the use of recognised open licences that facilitate responsible reuse while preserving appropriate attribution and any applicable legal, ethical, or confidentiality requirements.

Preprints and Prior Dissemination

Previous deposit of a manuscript on a recognised preprint server, institutional repository, disciplinary repository, or personal academic webpage does not normally prevent submission to The Scholarship of Research.

Authors must disclose relevant prior dissemination at the time of submission and provide the DOI, URL, citation, or other permanent identifier where available.

Preprints must not be presented as peer-reviewed or formally published versions of the article.

Following publication, authors are encouraged to update any preprint or repository record with the complete citation, DOI, and direct link to the published Version of Record.

Open Access and the Scholarly Record

Open access does not alter the Journal's responsibility to preserve the integrity, provenance, and permanence of the scholarly record.

Corrections, expressions of concern, retractions, or other post-publication notices remain permanently linked to the relevant article where applicable. Openly accessible articles are not removed solely because authors subsequently request withdrawal of access, except in exceptional circumstances involving legal, ethical, privacy, or safety considerations.
