Abstract

Stress is the body's response to the stressors, which can be of information or physical stimuli, chemical and biological properties. Stress reaction proceeds in three stages: alarm, adaptation and stage of exhaustion. The stress response plays an important role Papez circle that perpetuates the stress response, often manifesting lability of blood pressure and heart rate. The stress response can be done with a predominance of sympathetic response or parasympathetic, resulting in fainting. No response to the stressor realize aggression or escape the effect of metabolic and circulatory system, leading to hypertension, atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease.
