Advanced Interdisciplinary Care in periOperative practice (AICO Journal) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge across the perioperative continuum of care. The journal publishes clinical, scientific, educational, methodological, organizational, and interdisciplinary contributions concerning preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care, patient safety, surgical practice, perioperative nursing, anesthesia, infection prevention, technology, and healthcare organization. Research articles and other scholarly submissions designated as peer reviewed undergo independent external review, while other content follows the editorial process appropriate to its article type.
