Abstract
Nursing care of a child with pneumonia based on a nursing process allows an individual approach to a sick child and his caregivers. Modern nursing maintains that a nurse is an active member of the therapeutic team. Such approach requires nurses to display a higher level of competence and sets new goals for them, but also gives a nurse wider authority and stress the importance of her role in the care of pediatric patients. The activity and cooperation of all members of the therapeutic team is a prerequisite for successful treatment and effective nursing care.References
